About me

Davao City, Philippines, is where I call home. Growing up in a middle-class family of six, I learned the value of resourcefulness early on. College, particularly pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Architecture, presented a financial hurdle for my family.

Determined to chase my dreams, I explored opportunities to contribute financially. This led me to the world of virtual assistants, where I discovered a hidden passion for social media management. The strategic and creative aspects resonated deeply with me.

These experiences instilled in me a strong sense of organization. I like to plan ahead and anticipate outcomes. This translates into my work ethic, which is something I take great pride in. I pour my heart into everything I do, finding immense satisfaction in seeing projects come together flawlessly.

Difficulties and setbacks are viewed as opportunities for growth. I have a natural curiosity and a thirst for knowledge. Whether it's directly related to my work or not, I believe in continuous learning to develop myself as a well-rounded individual and achieve my goals.

While I sometimes find myself juggling various skills, I'm not afraid to delve deeper and truly master new things. The act of learning itself is exciting and fulfilling. While a life of complete comfort might have allowed me to explore every passion, I'm grateful for the chance to focus on learning that directly elevates my current career path in social media management.

My Journey in Digital Marketing

Fresh out of senior high school in 2018, I knew I wanted to contribute to my future and support my education. With a tight family budget, I had to get creative. The booming world of virtual assistants caught my eye, and I dove right in.

My first gig at The Virtual Web Solutions (TVS) was a whirlwind! I juggled four amazing clients: two podcasters, a relationship coach, and an Etsy seller. Working with the podcasters ignited my passion for social media. I managed their Instagram, LinkedIn, and Facebook groups, while also transcribing their shows. This experience exposed me to the power of building communities and fostering connections online.

Next, I helped a relationship coach with his social media presence on Instagram and YouTube. Even the basic video editing tasks sparked my interest in visual storytelling. Every project was a chance to learn and grow. My Etsy client, meanwhile, honed my graphic design skills. While I didn't manage her social media, the creative aspect fueled my desire to explore the visual side of digital marketing.

Fueled by these experiences, I craved more in 2020. I transitioned to a customer service role, where I honed my communication skills to a razor-sharp edge.

This was especially valuable when I later tackled social media management.

However, the desire to learn never sleeps! While excelling in customer service, I enrolled in online courses – business management, digital marketing, social media mastery – you name it, I took it! This dedication ultimately led me to land a social media manager role, where I thrived.

The company was service-based, and I relished the challenge of turning followers into loyal clients. My efforts were rewarded with a promotion to project manager, where I spearheaded lead magnet initiatives – essential tools for attracting new customers.

The pandemic brought unforeseen challenges. As restrictions eased, the company transitioned to an on-site work model, which unfortunately didn't align with my circumstances. While this chapter closed, it was an amicable parting.

Now, I'm brimming with enthusiasm, eager to leverage my skills and experience to propel the growth of another business. I'm a passionate, results-oriented social media manager with a thirst for knowledge and a proven track record of success. I'm excited to connect and contribute to a company that values creativity, collaboration, and a positive work environment.
